LAWYER NGUYEN THUY DUNG PROMOTES INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION IN THE PHILIPPINES

(Isabela, Philippines) – As part of an international business and exchange mission in the Philippines, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Dung – Managing Partner of BNA Legal, National General Legal Counsel 2026 of JCI Vietnam, and a member of JCI Wonder Woman, participated in a series of engagement activities with partners, local authorities, and community-based economic models on Isabela Island.

These activities reflect BNA Legal’s strategic direction in expanding cooperation and building international networks, while also highlighting the proactive role of female JCI leaders in promoting sustainable development and women’s empowerment within local communities.

Expanding International Connectivity in the Philippines

During the working program, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Dung held meetings and exchanges with partners and organizations in the Philippines, including JCI chapters in Manila, Cabatuan, and Cauayan (Isabela Island).

Discussions focused on:

• Strengthening collaborative connections among organizations in the region
• Sharing experiences in implementing women-led community initiatives
• Exploring opportunities for business connections and market expansion for local products

Through these activities, BNA Legal’s role was highlighted as a legal–business bridge, closely connected with the JCI Wonder Woman network in international engagement initiatives.

Engagement with Local Authorities in Santa Maria

In addition to partner networking activities, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Dung visited and worked at the municipal office of Santa Maria Town.

During the visit, she also toured the Santa Maria Green Ladies Organization, a representative women’s organization in the locality. The organization’s production and business models demonstrate the increasingly visible role of women in creating livelihoods and generating economic value for the community.

Experiencing Women-Led Livelihood Models in Quezon Township, Isabela

In Quezon Township (Isabela Island), Ms. Nguyen Thuy Dung directly visited several women-owned production facilities, learning about the development of local products linked to agriculture, handicrafts, and community-based livelihoods.

Local authorities introduced initiatives aimed at sustainable agriculture and climate change adaptation, thereby enhancing product value and ensuring stable livelihoods for local residents.

Affirming BNA Legal’s International Engagement Role

Within the framework of the mission, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Dung held meetings with leaders of the Santa Maria and Quezon township governments. All parties expressed a shared interest in strengthening connectivity, particularly in facilitating the access of Isabela’s agricultural and handicraft products to the Vietnamese market through appropriate cooperation channels.

Reflecting on the trip, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Dung shared her commitment to continuing collaboration with Philippine partners and connecting community initiatives through her role at BNA Legal, VELC and JCI Wonder Woman. This includes introducing outstanding local products, sharing suitable business models, and expanding international cooperation opportunities for local communities.
