Before establishing BNA Legal, Lawyer Nguyen Thuy Dung used to work for several Vietnamese and foreign law firms in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. She was also Head of the Legal department/Legal director for a number of years in many large corporations being listed, public and multinational companies.

With the strong legal background and understanding accumulated from diversified work environment, Mrs. Nguyen Thuy Dung can provide legal advice for Clients in numberous areas. Especially, being Head of the Legal departement/Legal director of many corporations, Mrs. Dung has had many opportunities to closely involve in strategic planning process, internal control and risk management; simultaneously, she can understand the demands of the companies' leaders, operational practice as well as other factors that may affect the companies' business. Thus, she can provide appropriate advice to the Clients.

Lawyer Nguyen Thuy Dung was mainly in charge of legal matters in a Group’s restructuring process in 2021 and led the Legal team to win the “Excellent Team of the year” award. Mrs. Dung was honored to be selected for the Legal 500 GC Powerlist - this list highlights the very best general counsels and senior in-house legal counsel.

Mrs. Nguyen Thuy Dung has conducted several legal studies, including:

• Terms of payment in international trading contracts under 1980 Vienne Convention and Unidroit Principles of International Commercial Contracts;
• Special cases of baseline: Low-tide elevations, mouth of river & estuary;
• Boundary between airspace and outerspace;
• Legislative function of the Commission and Council of EC;
• Jobs and job cretion in Hanoi capital for 2006-2010 period.

In law and policy making, Mrs. Nguyen Thuy Dung has contributed her efforts in some ministries’ projects of legal normative document review; commenting legal document drafts in various areas; reviewing the internal operation procedures and contract forms for large state corporations, and shared her experience and knowledge on television channels.
