On the morning of July 24, 2025, at the Hanoi Intellectual Palace, BNA Legal held a meeting with the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Children's Rights (VACR) to discuss strategic cooperation orientations in the field of child rights protection, community development associated with environmental factors, and sustainable development.
The working session was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thuy Dung – Managing Lawyer of BNA Legal, Founding Member of the Vietnam Environmental Law Center (VELC), and Head of Legal Affairs for JCI Wonder Woman; Ms. Duong Kieu Diem – CEO of KKD Vietnam, Head of Finance and Project Director of Wonder Mom under JCI Wonder Woman. Representing VACR were Ms. Ha and Ms. Thuy, experienced experts in the protection and development of children's rights in Vietnam.
At the meeting, BNA Legal and VACR had in-depth discussions and agreed on several key cooperation orientations, including:
- Promote the realization of children's rights in conjunction with sustainable development and a safe environment.
- Strengthen research, reporting, and assessment of the current state of children's rights in the context of climate change and environmental pollution.
- Encourage the substantive participation of children in climate change prevention activities, through initiatives proposed and implemented by children themselves.
- Accompanying communication campaigns, policy advocacy, and proposing solutions to improve the legal system related to children's rights.
Specifically, the Wonder Mom Project – an initiative by JCI Wonder Woman aimed at supporting modern mothers and families with children on the autism spectrum – received high praise from VACR. The association expressed its desire to become a co-sponsor, supporting the implementation of training programs, capacity building, counseling, and career orientation for this specific group of children and adolescents.
Sharing about the direction of cooperation, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Dung – Managing Lawyer of BNA Legal emphasized:
"Children's rights are not limited to being cared for and protected, but also include the right to live in a healthy environment, to study, to develop comprehensively, and to be heard. The cooperation between BNA Legal, VELC, JCI Wonder Woman, and VACR is an important step, affirming the commitment to accompany the community for a more sustainable and humane future for the next generation."
This meeting opens a new chapter of cooperation between BNA Legal and the VACR Association, clearly demonstrating the corporate social responsibility in creating a safe living environment and protecting the legitimate rights of Vietnamese children.
